Porter had a good night. His lungs are great and he is breathing just fine with the nasal cannulas. As far as the feeding is going, he is having some trouble. He is not able to digest much of the milk. As much as this sounds like a reason for concern, I have remember that God is in control and Porter is under the care of the best NICU around. He will be fine and the food will come in time. He can only be pushed so much.
Karen is going up to see him today and I think she is taking Paw-Ke and Fuffy with her for them to see another one of their great grands.

ReplyDeleteI have been thinking and praying for you guys night and day. Kristy has been keeping me up to date with all of the news on Porter. Hang in there and God will take care of everything! If you guys ever need anything, I am in Edmond and can be at Baptist in minutes...if you need dinner or someone to come and hang with Charlie.

ReplyDeleteRick and I...plus our herd wanted to let you know that we are praying for you. We CAN relate with you guys and Porter's NICU experience. Just try to take one day at a time and know that he's in the best place. The NICU doctors and nurses are so good at their job and keeping you informed. Ask LOTS of questions because they are so willing and ready to let you know what's going on. Keep relying on the Lord because He will get you through each and every day. Love you guys! The Paynes
