Sunday was a good day!
Gammy, Aunt Kel and Jacy stayed in Weatherford with Charlie which allowed Karen and me to spend the day with Porter. They have switched him to 7:30, 10:30, 1:30 and 4:30 touch times around the clock.
He ate back to back 40 mL bottles at 10:30 and 1:30 while we were there and was worn out at 4:30. His temperature is still borderline but acceptable. He could be doing better in that area but his blood levels indicate that he could need another transfusion soon. The docs are giving him an iron supplement to try to boost his red blood cell production to avoid needing the transfusion. We hope and pray this works and that no transfusion will be needed.
As far as his weight, He is up to 4 lb. 2.1 oz.
He smiled at the two of us on several occasions yesterday. Special moments for us!
