WOW, WOW, WOW, GOD IS GOOD!
Porter is doing amazingly well. As of last night, he is up to 3 lb 8oz. and his feeding have increased to 17mL's every three hours. The greatest news is that the doctors have ordered for him to eat two feeding per day from a bottle.
Well, we were trying not to be too optimistic at first. Kids will make a fool out of parents every time. Porter gagged a little at first and then ate the entire 17 mL's from the bottle with no problems. We were so amazed.
Karen will travel over today and spend the 10AM, 1PM and 4PM touch times with him. She may be able to give him one of his bottles today. Please pray for her safe travel and Porter's continued progression.

That is soooooo awesome!!! God has really shown us all a miracle in Porter! Thanks for all the updates - we really enjoy hearing the progress as we continue to pray for your family.

Karen, does Porter need to reach a certain weight to be able to go home?

ReplyDeleteTerry, Has 5 requirements that he has to meet and none of them have anything to do with a certian weight.

2) breathing on his own
3) eating entire feeding at one setting by bottle
4) maintaning his own body temp while clothed and wrapped in an open crib
5) not sick or elevated temp (duh!!)
