God is Good!
Porter Jack has had a rough night last night and a tough day today. Lab work tells us that he has become a little anemic. They are doing further tests to insure that he doesn't have any type of infection or something more serious.
They have ordered a blood transfusion today. Those two words just scare Karen and me. After talking with the Nurse Practitioner, we are much more comfortable with it. She said it is amazing for a baby born at 31 weeks to go 3 weeks without a transfusion. So, this is very common for premies and is necessary because the rate at which they produce red blood cells is very slow at this age. Duh, they are usually living on Mom's blood at this point.
This has been one of the first low points in this process and we want you all to know that this has all been manageable because of your prayers on our behalf as well as our Faith in a very awesome God.
Tomorrow will be better,
Blessings, dad

I have to admit that Porter is really jerking on my heart strings and causing tears to fall from my eyes right now. I know that God is watching over his little angel and over the two of you as you face each day. Keep the faith in our God and I will be praying for each of you.
